That Moye Boy
Busy. Busy. Busy.
I have seriously neglected my Facebook page and my blog!
For those who do not know, my little family just put down roots in our forever home this past weekend. So this teacher/photographer/mother/wife/semi professional mover... and newly added/sod layer- has been a little overwhelmed lately!
I am beyond excited about summer beginning so that I can catch up on some much needed family time and get settled in our forever home. God has been good to the Golden family and we are blessed to have a couple of months ahead to just soak up the sun and enjoy one another.
--> Having said that, my calendar is basically full for the month of June and I made the decision to shut things down in July and August (aside from one wedding already booked) to just focus on my role as mother and wife. I have a feeling that folks won't miss me too much seeing as how outdoor shoots aren't in high demand during the summer with our Florida heat! I'm looking forward to a fresh start in September and have my calendar open for the fall! Feel free to message me at anytime if you would like to go ahead and set up your fall sessions!
I'm excited to round out the spring season with an upcoming wedding and newborn portraits, but there's still one very handsome, talented guy that deserves a moment in the spotlight. About a month ago I met up with Russ and his mom in downtown Pensacola for his senior shoot. I can say that hands down, this has been the funniest shoot ever. Talk about a personality! I've know this family for many years through my role as an educator...but Russ was already headed for middle school at that time and I've never really had the chance to get to know him until now.
Let me tell ya, after that shoot I feel like I wasted a few years by NOT knowing this "Moye Boy" a little better. From a photographer standpoint, he was a dream to work with. Automatically posing himself (snap, snap) flashing a megawatt smile (snap, snap) straight to serious (snap, snap) and ready to move to the next pose. Cake walk.
From one human being to another, he was just a joy to be around. Russ is extremely personable, easy to chat with, and quite hilarious (especially when posing for a "butt shot"). And let's not forget... he's handsome to boot! That's why I just had to take a minute to share some images from this guy's senior session. Take a look!
Earlier I mentioned that this young man is extremely talented. I asked his mom to give me a rundown of his future plans that I could share with you all. Russ was accepted to AMDA (American Music Dramatic Academy) in LA. They offered him a National Merritt Scholarship. He was scored on a level from beginner to professional and scored two below professional as an intermediate-high. The folks at AMDA said they loved his energy, his look, his voice, and his skill. This young man is LA bound on June 22nd!
If you've never had the pleasure of hearing him sing, I highly suggest that you check out his Facebook page, RUSS MOYE MUSIC. The link will take you straight there so you can like his page and follow him on this journey. This local talent is one to watch and I would like to personally wish him the best of luck in all his endeavors!!

No doubt, this young man can become a world-class singer and fashion model as well because he is a multi talented person. I have visited http://www.easy-essay.org/ site to write an essay about his life and hope that the time is not very far away when we will see him in various concerts and fashion shows.
