Life as a Becker...

March 11, 2015  •  1 Comment

Ever wonder what it's like to be in someone else's shoes?

Just for a day you think... "I wish I had her life" or "Man, it must be nice..."

We've all done it. We quickly forget about the abundance of blessings in our own lives because we're too busy comparing what we ((don't)) have to what someone else ((does)) have. Tisk, tisk. We should know better. But- we're human, and so we will likely continue down this path in the future.

Where am I going with this?? Well, it's not to say that I don't appreciate the blessings in my own life. Because I do... oh boy I do! However, the Becker's have something I don't.

>>A little girl.

My own family is not yet complete ((my plan)) and both Nick and I hope that it is in God's plan to add another little one to our family in the future.

So, I lived vicariously through the Becker family for one day.

>What would it be like to have two children?

>What would it be like to see Lucas as a big brother?

>What would it be like to enter the world of all things girly?

My conclusion??

>>>it would be chaos

>>>it would be fun

And I think both Kristen & Kyle would probably agree with me on that.

I remember meeting Chayce almost two years ago, when I took Kristen's maternity pictures. He was so silly and lovable! I was shocked at how small he was when looking back at our maternity session. These days with our children move so swiftly, don't they?!?!

Chayce was so excited about having a baby sister back then, and it is still evident today. My favorite moment from this shoot was when both kiddos got comfy on the ground. Before each picture I snapped, Kaylen would just stare up at big brother with the cutest little grin.

So I just wanted to say {thank you} to the Becker Family. You have given me something to look forward to ((scratch that)). You have given me something to PRAY for. Nick and I both grew up with siblings and know how special those childhood memories are.

>>Even in all the choas and madness, remember to soak up these moments. Our babies are only little for a short while.<<

And I'd say the Becker Family is doing just that. Especially with their big trip to Disney just around the corner. Oh and I should also mention that this shoot was scheduled around an important milestone. Miss Kaylen is almost ONE!! Thank you for including me in this special time...and have a blast at Disney!!

Of course, I couldn't end this post without sharing a special shot of the two lovebirds who created this beautiful family... and a couple more of my favorites from their family shoot. :)

Music has become a pivotal part of all communities. Most of the human cultures deliberately use music for carrying forward ideas and theories. Studying cultural music can teach us a lot about the customs of a culture.
